Who We Are

In early 2006, a small church in the town of Celebration was looking for a fresh start. God answered the prayers of a group of a few dozen individuals, and in September of 2006, Celebration Community Church re-launched with new leadership and a new vision for transforming a region with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord has favored us in remarkable ways as our little family has grown into a larger family, even while meeting in a rented high school auditorium on the edge of town.

Almost five years later, we continue to be passionately driven by the mandate Christ himself gave to His church to make more and better disciples. Indeed, Celebration Community Church is made up of people who share a common passion to grow in their love for Jesus. Striving to make Christ central in the life of our church, we highly value worship as a response to God’s Word, authentic life change through the Holy Spirit, intimate connection with the people of God, and following Christ on mission in the world. Pursuing a Christ-centered life is not just what we do…it is who we are.

Where We Are Going

To describe the coming days as “exciting” would be an incredible understatement. Since that first service back in 2006, the Lord has been preparing us for the day when we could move into our own home at our property on Celebration Place. That time is right around the corner! The plans for our first phase on the land are now complete and ready to become reality. Our hope is to move onto the property in the fall of 2011. Imagine what God might do in and through our church with space dedicated for worship, community, discipleship, and strategic recreation! Besides providing us with a more permanent place to grow as a family, we believe that our future facility can be leveraged for broader proclamation of the Gospel, transformation in our community, and the expansion of Christ’s Kingdom.

Our future facility will provide unprecedented ministry opportunities. It will be a place for us to connect with others in the community and to form relationships that will be life changing. It will be a place to train future leaders in Christ’s church and a launching pad for sending missionaries and church-planters into the city and into the world. We are looking BEYOND just a building. We are looking BEYOND ourselves to those who will embrace Jesus Christ through the ministry of Celebration Community Church. We are asking God to do something BEYOND what we could imagine!

How We Get There

Construction of a new facility is a crucial step forward for Celebration Community Church, allowing us to grow and more efficiently fulfill our mission of making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ.

We have launched a Capital Stewardship Campaign entitled BEYOND to help us focus on God’s future for our church, how a new facility fits into that picture, and what it will take to get there. Phase 1 of our new facility includes a finished 350-seat chapel, a finished building for children’s classrooms and nursery space, a finished soccer field and parking lot, and two shelled buildings (exterior only) for future classroom and administrative space. The total cost of phase 1 is approximately $2.3 million. Our prayer is that through the BEYOND campaign, members of Celebration Community Church will commit to 3-year pledges totaling at least $500,000. We have a great challenge in front of us, but also an opportunity for profound joy and blessing.

How can you be a part of such a phenomenal undertaking?

  • Thank God for His generosity in your life, not least the giving of His own Son.
  • Ask God how much He would have you give.
  • Be obedient and give joyfully and sacrificially as the Lord leads.
  • Be prepared to receive the blessings that only He can give.

On Commitment Sunday, March 6, 2011, everyone in our church will be given the opportunity to make a 3-year commitment over and above what they are currently giving to the operating budget. Please plan to be a part of this Commitment Sunday, and let’s prayerfully anticipate the amazing things God will do!
